no prizes for guessing which city i'm starting with to open this staggeringly interesting new series...
yes, it's swindon venice.
these gondolas were moored just a few feet away from st mark's square, and as you can see, the water
was fairly choppy, so it's easy to imagine how quickly the city could be swamped.
but what a place!
i don't think i've been anywhere with quite the magic and romance of venice.
with all due respect to swindon.
