i picked up a little bit more work this week - half day a week on a retainer basis, but higher paid than the two days a week i'm currently doing.
this means my income goes up by a nice percentage.

recession means depression, or slump, or downturn.

so i'm having the opposite. 
i'm having a boom, all on my own.

have you boomed lately?

anyway, i'm celebrating.
i also heard about a few people who are starting up new businesses.  they've got a good idea and they're going to go for it.
so it's not all bad news.
